The First Hungarian Go Pedelec! Road-Show was organized in Budapest. The road-show started on Thursday, 4th March and ended on Sunday, 7th March. The event was well attended. Besides the test track for pedelecs there was a workshop for municipal decision makers and a pedelec expert training. The Hungarian Minister of environment and water affairs, Mr. Imre Szabó, attended the event on Thursday, March 4th. He tried out a pedelec and gave an interview to the Go Pedelec! Dissemination Manager.

The pedelec test track included

1.26 pedelecs (16 from the German project partner ExtraEnergy) others were provided by local retailers).

2.13 pedelec brands.

During the road-show 665 people tried out the pedelecs on the test track. Go Pedelec! municipal decision makers workshop As part of the Go Pedelec! Road-Show, a workshop for the municipal decision makers was held on 4th March. Mr. Imre Szabó, Hungarian Minister of environment and water affairs highlighted the following in his opening speech: “Electric bicycles could be very useful in the environment-conscious transport, furthermore pedelecs surely have the lowest emission among motorised vehicles of private transport. Pedelecs can be combined with other vehicles used in the city transport.”

Besides the road-show a conference was arranged for municipal decision makers with

2.and the media presence of 3 radio stations, 4 TV crews, 14 online and traditional newspapers.

Go Pedelec! pedelec expert training

An expert training on pedelecs was held from 3 pm to 5 pm on Thursday for bicycle retailers. At this event 6 participants from 6 bicycle store participated. The training was focused on the possibilities of the present and future pedelec market and the technical development (safety batteries, uniform charging systems, etc.).

The first day of the Road-Show numerous associates from the press, TV and radio took part in the workshop, which was a press conference too.
