With interesting discussions and informative presentations the topic on pedelecs was brought closer to the 30 participants of the workshop. Among others, Mrs. Iris Absenger, general manager of the energy region Weiz-Gleisdorf, who talked about experiences with pedelecs in Eastern Styria as well as Mrs. Heidi Hofmann who is managing the successful project NewRide in Switzerland that also deals with pedelecs, took part as speakers. Mr. Johannes Gruber from Magna Marque and Mr. Andreas Burjak from KTM reported on technical news and details.
People took a great interest in the event – about 300 people used the opportunity to test the 16 different models of pedelecs despite the fact that it was raining. The City of Graz was represented by deputy mayor Mrs. Lisa Rücker who as well tested one of the pedelecs and used the test track.
For those who had missed the opportunity to test a pedelec at the main square there was the chance to do so from 5th till 7th of May at the Graz exhibition center where the test track was built up as a side event of the mobility fair "ECOMM 2010".
