Municipalities
The Go Pedelec! project tries to apply at the municipality level. Therefore the main target group are municipal decision makers. Municipal decision makers are in charge of the mobility plans of their communties. Pedelecs can be integrated in these traffic concepts. Within the organized workshops municipal decision makers either tell or get informed about experiences with pedelecs and pedelec infrastructure. Quite a few municipalities have already implemented pedelecs in one or the other way into their traffic concepts. Examples of how a municipality can do this are:
- include pedelecs in the municipal transport vehicles fleet
- support road shows as initiative for citizens to raise awareness
- facilitate charging points for electric vehicles including pedelecs
- include pedelec promotion in overall cycling promotion
